3 Skincare Products I Tried in February
Monday Born Source Essence - CosRX The 6 Peptide Skin Booster Serum - Naturium Multi-Peptide Moisturizer
Happy February! Winter is almost over on the east coast and it’s time to recap some the skincare products I enjoyed this winter. Every year as I transition into the colder months, I always incorporate products that focus on hydration and moisture retention to combat the dryness that naturally comes with colder temperatures. I am planning on writing a post on my full spring skincare morning and night routines so stay tuned for those posts + videos.
First up for the skincare newbies is drumroll - Monday Born’s Source, which is a hydrating essence packed with key ingredients like Centella Asiatica Extract which is great for improving skin’s hydration and overall moisture. Similar to the other MB products, the Source essence is formulated for me and my fellow sensitive skin girlies! I’ve have used both the oil based cleanser and gentle cleanser and I am very please with the fact that it hasn’t cause any skin issues or breakouts. Essence is in right now so I ended up adding this to my PM routine and my skin has been loving it! I am 1/4 the way through this product and I will definitely continue using it through the spring/summer.
COSRX
The 6 Peptide Skin Booster Serum
Next up, is the COSRX’s The 6 Peptide Skin Booster Serum - immediately yes! I really enjoy all of the products that I have used from this brand so when I got this in an ULTA freebies skincare sample bag, I was excited to try this! The 6 peptides complex aims to even skin tone, hydrate, firm + smooth, reduce pores + sebum production and improve skin texture. WOW! That is a lot for one serum and after all of the winter dryness and exposure to the cold, I needed this to give my skin some much needed TLC this boost.
To bolster the benefits of the peptide serum, I added the Naturium Multi-Peptide Moisturizer to my winter AM/PM lineup. My pro tip for transitioning skin care from autumn to winter is to switch out your moisturizer. In the summer into the autumn, I usually stick to a light, gel moisturizer. In the colder months, I like to use a thicker, cream moisturizer to combat dryness and retain moisture. The Naturium moisturizer has a peptides, Vitamin C and panthenol to target fine lines and wrinkles. This essence + serum + moisturizer combo saved my skin this winter and I will definitely continue using these products into the spring months.
That concludes my report! What skincare products do you have in to your winter routine. Let me know in the comments!
